(ii) A 300 mL kashayam/kadha with 5% spice mix, a 200 mL one with 10% spice mix and a 100 mL one with 15% spice mix are mixed.

In scenario (i), 70 mL total spice in 600 mL liquid yields an 11.67% concentration. In scenario (ii), 50 mL total spice in 600 mL liquid yields an 8.33% concentration.

    1. For scenario (i), the total spice volume is 5 + 20 + 45 = 70 mL, which over 600 mL gives an 11.67% concentration. For scenario (ii), total spice is 15 + 20 + 15 = 50 mL, giving an 8.33% concentration. The final concentration always shifts toward the portion contributing the largest volume.
