This wind is the Chinook. It is a regional wind of the Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountains. It starts as a moist maritime air mass from the Pacific Ocean. After being forced over the mountain ranges and losing its moisture, it arrives on the eastern slopes as a warm, dry and fast-moving wind that significantly alters the local winter weather. ANSWER: (A) Chinook
