The Silk Route enabled exchange of goods and culture — Chinese pottery, Indian textiles and spices moved to Europe, while gold and silver returned. Along these routes, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam also spread widely, linking distant civilizations spiritually and economically.

    3. Early Christian missionaries used this route to travel toward Asia, and centuries later, Muslim scholars and preachers followed the same path to spread their faith.
