  1. A quarter turn means turning one-fourth of a circle. To complete a full turn, four such quarter turns are needed. For example, when the minute hand of a clock moves from 12 to 3, it makes one quarter turn. From 3 to 6 is another, then 6 to 9 and finally 9 to 12. Altogether, these four quarter turns complete a full turn around the clock.
