Descriptions:
An incident ray is a beam of light approaching a surface or boundary. It travels toward the surface, forming an angle with the normal line. This ray’s behavior upon interaction with the surface defines reflection, refraction, or absorption, crucial in understanding optical phenomena and light behavior.
If the reflected ray is at an angle of 90 degrees to the incident ray, it implies that the angle of incidence is 45 degrees.
The angle of incidence (θ_incident) is equal to half of the angle between the incident ray and the reflected ray (θ_reflected) when the angle between them is 90 degrees.
Therefore, θ_incident = (θ_reflected)/(2) = (90°)/(2) = 45°
