In a class test, the sum of Shefali’s marks in Mathematics and English is 30. Had she got 2 marks more in Mathematics and 3 marks less in English, the product of their marks would have been 210. Find her marks in the two subjects.

    Marks in maths=x
    Marks in english=y

    So,
    x+y=30———(I)

    2 more marks in maths =x+2
    3 less marks in english=y-3
    Product of two no. (x+2)(y-3)

    So,
    (x+2)(y-3)=210
    xy-3x+2y-6=210
    xy-3x+2y=216—————(II)

    Solve these two equation by subsitution method……..
